Citation management help

While the resources mentioned above can provide helpful and accurate information about in-text references, works cited pages, and other components of citation, it is also strongly recommended that graduate students collect and organize their citations using a citation management application such as Zotero or Mendeley.

If you're just getting started with these products, NAU provides step-by-step guidelines for navigating them with ease:

Mendeley is a reference manager, academic collaboration network and crowd sourced database with a layer of social information research. Mendeley is available on Mac, Windows and Linux. Mendeley Web functions on all major browsers. Mobile versions of Mendeley are available for IPad, IPhone and Android devices.

Zotero is an open-source citation management platform. It includes: citations in over 9,000 different citation styles; generate bibliographies, works cited pages; organize, edit, and de-duplicate citations using local software, mobile apps, and cloud storage; browser extensions that capture and store citations automatically.
