New Mexico Pesticide Product Registration

The Registration program works to protect the public and environment from fraudulent or hazardous pesticide product and devices. Our program also covers a broad range of products. These control insects, weeds, and plant diseases; swimming pool and spa treatment; common household cleaners; and disinfectants.

Applications

Registration of a pest control device under the New Mexico Pesticide Control Act is ­not an indication or warranty that the device is suitable for any particular purpose. NMDA does not test registered pest control devices for quality or functionality, nor does NMDA endorse or recommend the use of any registered pest control devices.

The preferred method to submit an application for pesticide registration is to utilize the department’s fillable Pesticide Product Registration Form. This form when filled out and submitted will be sent directly to our staff who will follow up by sending an email with an invoice for the registration fee which can be paid online via a link in the invoice provided. Registration fees are $100 per product.

You can also download the Pesticide Registration Form and email or mail it to the department at the address provided on the form.

When registering a 25(b) Pesticide or Pesticide Device, fill in 25(b) or Device respectively instead of an EPA Registration Number.

Applications received electronically will be followed up with an invoice from our office, sent via email for the registration fee. Once the company receives the invoice, the registration fee which can be paid online via a link in the invoice provided. Registration fees are $100 per product.

Note: Do NOT pay the registration fee until the invoice is received.

Applications sent by USPS, FedEx, or UPS must be accompanied by a check made payable to New Mexico Department of Agriculture for the registration fee. Registration fees are $100 per product. Checks do not need to be sent with applications for 25(b) pesticides and devices sent by USPS, FedEx, or UPS.
